The transition program from Kindergarten to Prep is founded on pastoral care.  The Prep Transition Coordinator promotes open lines of communication between the school and its feeder kindergartens.   An intensive Orientation program begins in November of the year preceding enrolment.

The program provides the Prep teaching team with the opportunity to get to know students and observe combinations of children working together in Transition Groups.  Important information about medical/physical/behavioural/emotional issues is made available to teachers on Student Developmental Profile Forms completed by parents and pre-school teachers.  Through access to this information and experiences in the Orientation program, teachers are able to confer about the best possible placements and combinations for students in Prep classes.
