  • Principal's News Learning at BBPS Well done to our Prep-2 students who are close to completing two weeks of intensive swimming at SwimRight.  During this program students have not only worked on key swimming strokes, they have also developed crucial skills in water safety. Thanks to all parent helpers who attended throughout the program.   Our grade 3 students are currently enjoying their first school camp to Camp Oasis, Mt Evelyn. Students have been busy observing reptiles, making candles and braving the flying fox. School camp is a great opportunity for students to experience staying away from home and building new friendships with others. We thank the teachers for their commitment during this time.   • Principal's News District Athletics Congratulations to all Year 4-6 students who competed in last week’s District Athletics Carnival. Our school was victorious, and brought home the Aggregate Shield for coming first in the district. Some students now move onto the Division Athletics on October, 11th. Notes have gone home already. Thank you to Mr Ancrum for coordinating this event, and to Miss Craig and Miss Braun and all the parents who braved the elements to support the efforts of all of our students.   • Principal's News Week 7, and what a busy week we have had – and there is only more to come!   Gr 4/5 Robogals Last week, a group of grade 4 and 5 girls attended a Robogals workshop in the city. Students participated in activities that developed skills in coding, robotics and the design and make process. They reflected:   “I learnt that there are different types of engineering and it’s good that they want more girls in the engineering business due to equal rights, like in the AFL.”- Chloe D’Cruz “We got to use computers to make robots move and it was really challenging.” – Zoe Farrell “I enjoyed understanding how robots worked.
