School Council Results

Congratulations to our four school council members Lisa Mitchell, Emma Liley , Andrew Schutz and Lisa McGowan. Our first school council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 16th March beginning at 7pm.

 

Building Update

Our staff room is finished and looks amazing. The community have made this possible and we look forward to the completion of the learning centre at the end of the term. It was only when the staffroom was relocated that work on the learning centre  could begin. In the newsletter next week we will pop some photos in if you aren’t able to make it on Thursday when tours will be available.

 

If you would like to have a tour, tours are available with Terry Morris on Thursday 10th March at 9.05 and 3.15pm.

 

Emergency Management Update

Please be aware, as stated previously, our emergency drill and incident went extremely smoothly both yesterday and last Thursday. This is because of the practice we implement throughout the year  and the thorough emergency plan we have in place.

All emergency evacuation plans are on all exit doors please take the time and have a read. On the plan you will also notice that we have two offsite evacuation points, they are Whyte St Oval and St Leonards Church hall.

 

In an emergency situation the police direct where we evacuate to. In an emergency situation the police direct me about where the children will be the safest (eg. offsite or onsite) and when to communicate with parents. This is based on their level of expertise in this situation and I am guided by them. As the Principal my main focus is on keeping all our 402 students, the staff and visitors to our school safe.  If you would like any more information after reading the plan please don’t hesitate to call me.
