This rise has occurred due to the enormous fundraising raised through the Parent Association events over the last few months and voluntary contributions via the building fund.  We will now be able to commence the next stage of the building renovations, the main office and administration areas, early in the New Year.

On behalf of the School Council, a big     “Thank You” for continuing to make the building renovations possible!

Bully Stoppers
All Year 5 students attended the launch of their 2016 Bully Stoppers Community Project last week at Dendy Theatre. Along with four other Beachside Bully Stoppers schools, the teams from each school shared the year- long focus on Resilience and the process that led to and culminated in their billboard designs. This year the planning committee placed an emphasis on student voice and the very effective model of peer to peer teaching and learning.  To achieve that, our Year 6 students, from each school conducted the interviews. Congratulations to the twenty members of the BBPS Bully Stoppers Team and in particular the presenting team of:  Elwood and George our school captains who interviewed Jacqueline, Nils, Rebecca and Jack. Their presentation of the project in its entirety was outstanding!  The richness and diversity of the presentations from all five schools will provide a strong platform for leadership across the schools in 2017.  The team will be presenting the billboard at Monday’s assembly.

Parent Payment Charges

2017 is going to be an eventful year and your Voluntary Contributions will play an important role in the continued development of BBPS as a premier learning centre and a place that your children will be happy to spend their childhood years. Please support us to realise the completion of Stage 3 of the traditional main building refurbishment in the 2017 school year. Let’s see what we can achieve together!

The parent payment charges for 2017 were emailed to all families last week. While payment is not required until January 30, 2017 payment by December 20, 2016 is greatly appreciated.

We are again offering a payment plan available to families who commit to paying the 2017 parent payment charges in full. Our payment plan is monthly direct debit payments (8 payments if plan commences before November 18,) with final payment made by June 2017. Please contact the office for further information.

The school appreciates that families may sometimes experience financial difficulty in meeting payment requests. A number of support options are available to parents who have difficulty making payments.  If you are: the holder of a concession card; interested in taking up the payment plan offer; a separated family who would like the charges split; have not received the email or have any queries regarding the Parent Payment Charges; please call Sue Klein the Parent Payment Contact on 9591 0888 to have a confidential discussion about alternative arrangements.

We thank you again for committing to the continued development of Brighton Beach Primary School.
