Teddy Bears Picnic

It was a beautiful morning last Friday as we concluded our transition program for the 2016 Foundation students with the Teddy Bear’s Picnic on the back oval. There were plenty of smiles and new school uniforms which were, at this stage, a little on the big side.

School Council End of Year Celebration

Last night we had our final School Council meeting for 2015. We combined our monthly meeting with a shared meal and used this time to recognise the contribution councillors make to the governance of the school. It has been an absolute pleasure for the staff to work side by side with the parent representatives on the council, who are positive, proactive and always willing to discuss initiatives whilst remaining open to different perspectives. The commitment and dedication demonstrated by this group acts as a support for the whole school community.

 Year 6 Camp

Our campers are having a great time away with a varied itinerary. Thank you to Terry Morris and Aaron Steel who have organised the camp to Ballarat and surrounding areas.

Parent Thank You Morning Tea

Please put aside Wednesday 2nd December at 11am to come along and join the staff as we take the opportunity to create a lovely thank you morning tea for all our parents who have helped in one way or another. Staff are extremely grateful for the extra work our parents do to help and support the learning program. The vast range of activities in which parents are involved at Brighton Beach Primary is impressive, whether it’s helping in the canteen, sorting lost property, liaising with classroom teachers, organising events or participating in School Council or Parent Association. It will be an opportunity for all of us to say thank you.

 Alcohol Policy

It’s timely for all members of our community to be aware of our school council approved Alcohol Policy.

Don’t forget to save the date for our Christmas Extravaganza on Friday 27th November from 4-7.30pm
