Parent Night Out

It’s June already, first semester is flying and we are looking forward to the P.A.’s infamous mid year social extravaganza with the tropical theme “Getting Shipwrecked”. The BBPS community never disappoints in terms of an opportunity to dress for an occasion.  Hope you can make it Saturday night and once again support fundraising for the next stage of the building project.

WHAT EVERY PARENT MUST KNOW…about supporting your child to navigate the online spaces commonly referred to as Social Media.

If you haven’t already done so please reserve a place for this informative session with Georgina Pazzi by using the trybooking site. Refer to the flier for more details.

Students who are performing next Thursday are busily practising or rehearsing their pieces. We look forward to another opportunity to showcase the budding talent and enthusiasm for the performing arts. Ms Cozens has a few reminders

- the choir will perform first (likely to be at 5.10 after introductions)

- everyone performing including the choir has the option of neat school uniform or neat casual clothes - they can decide themselves and depending on whether or not they go home

- if anyone in the choir cannot attend, that's ok! They are very much encouraged and invited to attend, but if they have other arrangements then it's not a problem. They should let their class teachers know

- the choir and parents will then be invited to leave after the choir has performed, but of course they are welcome to stay if they wish to watch the rest of the performances

- we do understand that some students will be endeavouring to make it for their performance after sport practice commitments and the program has been organised to be flexible to suit all performers as best we can.

Performing Arts

Assembly on Monday treated all students and the parents in attendance to a feast of musical items, highlighting the performing arts program at BBPS. Elinor Cozens has established the Year 2 Choir and with the support of their teachers, the students combined to perform the two songs they are singing at the Soiree.

Year 6 also shared their study of Gospel Music and did an innovation on the classic ‘Oh When the Saints go Marching in.’

And to top it off, Robbie – Guitar Titanic 4B       Ella– Piano Tic Tac Toe 3M       Harvey– Waltz Time 3M performed magnificent solos.

Fidget Spinners

Many students are enjoying what seems to be the latest craze, happily sharing and playing with these before school, at recess and lunch.  At all other times these toys are kept in their school bags to optimise focused learning time.
