WE WANT OUR PARENTS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK

All DET schools are conducting a survey to find out what parents think of their particular school. This is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training. Approximately 30 per cent of parents (selected randomly) can expect to be invited to participate and all responses to the survey are anonymous and confidential.

It aims to assist each school in gaining an understanding of parents’ perception of school climate, student engagement and relationships with the parent community.
This year the survey will be online and conducted by ORIMA Research Pty Ltd.  It takes 15 minutes to complete. The survey can be accessed via desktop computer, laptop, tablet or mobile at any convenient time within the fieldwork period from
Monday 7th August to Sunday 27th August. The survey results will
be available to all schools
at the end of September. Please take the time to participate as we value your feedback.

Battle of Brighton – Go Dreamers

The much anticipated BBPS V BPS  Dad’s Footy was front and centre at Assembly on Monday with Ben Robb and a few of the Dads encouraging a very enthusiastic supporter base to cheer them on for this vital clash to determine who will take the lead given the win tally is currently sitting at 3 ALL. Hope to see our supporter base this Saturday commencing at 1.30pm at the Brighton Beach Oval. Please make sure you come along and join the fun!

Bullystoppers

Congratulations to our BBPS Bullystoppers Team on their active participation in the “Bayside Says No to Bullying” Forum.  Many thanks to Emma Baldwin and Alex Grady for facilitating this program.  Watch out for an update from the students in coming newsletters.

Family Life Information Sessions

A number of our families took the opportunity to attend these very informative sessions which are presented in a way that opens up opportunities for children and parents to tackle conversations about health, human relations and human sexuality. Again, we thank and acknowledge our PA for making these ‘simple, sensitive straight forward’ sessions available and we particularly thank Karen Anscombe who organises and coordinates these parent led information sessions.
