Monday Curriculum Day

I hope you all enjoyed your cup long weekend. The teachers certainly enjoyed the Tuesday holiday however they were hard at work on Monday. This year the teachers were developing their capacity to use our new student data program called Student Performance Analyser (SPA). This was an opportunity to reflect on our school data and track our progress to date.

Halloween Disco

It was a wild and terrifying night on Friday 23rd October as all the ghosts, witches, mummies, skeletons came out to play at our annual Halloween Disco! It was a sensational night with plenty of pizza and dancing enjoyed by all. Thank you to the Parent Association for their organisation and the team of parents that helped out on the night making sure everything went smoothly. A great fun night!

2016 Foundation Transition

Last week we had the first of our formal 2016 Foundation transition sessions where our new students for next year were able to experience the learning environment at BBPS, whilst their parents had an opportunity to mix with each other.  It was a productive session where parents shared their hopes for their children as they begin their schooling life at BBPS. I would like to say thank you to Will Abraham and Alanna Simpson who helped with the session and spoke so confidently to the parents about their experiences. Thank you also to Amy, Julia and Bec who came along to help out with the tea and coffee, and to Tania Walker who was their helping parents find some bargains in the second hand uniform shop.

Bully Stoppers Film Festival

The Bully Stopper event was a smashing success with six schools and over 400 children attending and sharing their films. All of our Year 5 students had the opportunity to attend and provide their thoughts about each of the films presented. Andrew Fuller facilitated the event ensuring all schools had an opportunity to share their learning. It was an outstanding event.

Congratulations to Georgia Hellier and her family as they welcomed Sophie Joy Hellier on 30th October. We wish Georgia, Dom, Lachlan and Asha all the best.
