Student Achievements – Personal Bests!
Some very proud competitors in last week’s interschool swim meet at MSAC happily shared their results. Well done again to all our students who made it through to the districts and qualified to swim again at the next level. Good luck as you continue on to Division 1 and Regional levels.
The program is now open for bookings on our website – to see what has been planned go to http://theircare.com.au/calendar/brighton-beach-primary-school/
An email has gone out to inform parents who currently use the OSHC service informing parents of the holiday program in place for our Term 1 break. Many thanks to Tash Zakhour Operations Manager for Their Care our OSHC provider for setting this up.
Walk-a-thon to support Building Works – STEAM Technology Room
Thank you for the incredible cooperative spirit that is going on In Team PA this year. Although we have no official president as such, all parents attached to the PA are working together to ensure our calendar of school events are rolling out smoothly. The Walk-a-thon is a bi-annual event and this year as your children seek sponsorship for their walk along the local route the funds raised will support our ongoing renovations particularly the upgrade of the front classroom opposite the hall. We need volunteer parents for the marshalling for juniors and seniors. Please access the link to register. http://signup.com/login/entry/1217022546405792022
Radio Program Southern FM 88.3
The fortnightly Thursday morning BBPS Radio program is fast developing a following with family members and friends dialling in from as far away as England. Well done to our intrepid band of media captains who host the show – Harvey, Jeremy, Madi and Cerys.
Using the RadioAPP Cerys’ grandparents can receive the program live and contribute to the panel discussions
As you may have heard, there has been music playing before the bell. The purpose of this is to tell students to go to their classroom. We have so far played ‘Happy’ and ‘Rockefeller Street’, which was chosen by 6C. Every class will get a turn to pick a new song. But every second week the teachers will get a choice and this week Mrs Coutts chose Dancing Queen by Abba. Next week 6B will be voting on the song. I hope you like this idea.
