Year 3 Camp - Our Year 3 students and teachers are currently enjoying their first ever school camp to Camp Oasis, Mt Evelyn. Many thanks to Kirsten Braun for her organisation of this event. Students will return on Friday at 2.30pm. If for some reason the time differs we will send out a compass notification to the Year 3 parents.

Spark Girl’s STEAM - A group of Year 5 and 6 girls attended the ‘It Takes a Spark’ STEAM Conference last week, which focused on bringing teachers and students in Years 4-10 together with inspiring female industry role models and innovators for a day of interactive workshops. Our team of students put their new found knowledge into practice by leading the staff through a coding activity using a micro:bit at this week’s staff meeting.
Lucy “Only 36% of girls are into STEAM. I’m surprised that there is such a gender difference in this area because it’s amazing!”
Jaime “I liked the micro:bit activity because there were lots of fun parts and I’d only done a little bit of coding before”
Lauren C “I liked helping the teachers learn something and seeing the different ways they completed the task”
St Mary’s Pre School visit - 4OP visited St Mary’s Pre School this week. Students shared a book they had selected from our library and completed an activity with them.
