At BBPS we firmly believe in the value of school camps for the learning and lifelong memories they provide. We have made adjustments to camp structures to accommodate rising costs, including reducing the number of days of some camps, but remain committed to offering a camp experience to all students in Years 3-6.

 

This is our 2026 camp schedule:

• Years ¾ go on camp together for two days (one night). This year they will be enjoying an outdoor adventure on the Mornington Peninsula.

• Year 5 will be going to Phillip Island for three days. They will be focused on team building, initiative and problem solving strategies within an outdoor education setting, as well as attending surf school.

• Year 6 head to Canberra for four days for activities linked to historical and civics and citizenship curriculum studies. They will visit Parliament, the Australian War Memorial and the Australian Institute of Sport among other destinations.

All our camps enhance the curriculum at Brighton Beach, and help to develop initiative, self-esteem, self-management and responsibility within our students.
