Enrolments

Brighton Beach Primary School welcomes all enrolments whether you're a local resident or joining us from afar. To enrol in Prep at Brighton Beach Primary School your child must turn 5 years old by April 30th in the year they begin school. Schooling is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.

School Tours

We conduct tours every Tuesday at 9.30am for students enrolling in the current or following year. Click here to book our next available tour.

2027 Enrolment Process

The enrolment timeline for 2026 has closed, however if you have recently moved into the area and would like your child to attend our school, please contact the office for a tour and / or enrolment forms and process.

The below timeline reflects the key dates for Prep Enrolment for 2027. If you would like to book in for a tour please click here

1. Enrolments open on Monday 20th April 2026.

2. Complete the Enrolment Form below. This form must be filled in electronically, saved and sent back to the school email address brighton.beach.ps@education.vic.gov.au

3. Attach all required documentation when returning your enrolment form.

All enrolments:

Australian Birth Certificate
An immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register

Where applicable:

Australian Residency and other visa documentation
Court orders or care arrangement documents
Health support forms. This may include a Medication Authority Form, an Asthma Action Plan, ASCIA Action Plan for Anaphylaxis or other forms relevant to a student’s medical condition as diagnosed and treated by a medical practitioner. Students can still be enrolled without provision of these forms, but they must be provided before commencing school. 4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application by Friday 14 August 2026. If you receive an offer of placement, you must accept the offer by Friday 28 August 2026.

5. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Terms 3 and 4, 2026.

The Department of Education has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Brighton Beach Primary School.

Our school has a neighbourhood zone that guides local enrolments; however, it is not a strict Department of Education designation. This means that while we prioritise children who live within our local area, we welcome applications from families who live outside the neighbourhood zone. We encourage all interested families to enquire about enrolment, regardless of where they live.

Our focus is on strong learning, high expectations and helping every child grow in confidence and capability within a supportive community. We warmly welcome families from both within our local area and beyond, and we do our best to offer places to out of zone applicants whenever we can. Click here to fill out the application form. Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school.
