 2027 Enrolment Process

All Victorian government primary schools follow a statewide timeline for enrolling in Foundation (Prep) for the 2027 school year.

Our school uses Student Insight for online enrolment. If you have a child starting primary school in 2027, it’s time to enrol. Make sure to submit your enrolment application by Friday 31 July 2026.  â€‹If you are enrolling the sibling of a student at our school for Foundation in 2027, and both children will be attending our school at the same time, your child is prioritised for a place at our school.

It is important to submit your enrolment application to us on time as it will ensure your child is included in all transition activities if offered enrolment at our school. This also allows us to plan our classrooms, staffing and transition activities, and ensures your child has the best start to school.

 Zone

Our school has a neighbourhood zone that guides local enrolments; however, it is not a strict Department of Education designation. This means that while we prioritise children who live within our local area, we have always welcomed applications from families who live outside the neighbourhood zone. We encourage all interested families to enquire about enrolment, regardless of where they live.

For answers to frequently asked questions about school zones and enrolling in Victorian government schools, visit School zones.. You can also check whether your address sits within our local area using the Find My School website.  â€‹Brighton Beach Primary School manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school.
