Fantastic After School Art Program at Brighton Beach Primary School. The first class is free to new students!

Classes run for an hour and twenty minutes so kids can really get into their art, and it’s great value for money. Talented instructors and artists run the classes providing wonderful insight or the kids with their experience in teaching and as practicing artists.

Drama Time

Drama Time is an exciting and rewarding drama program especially created for primary school aged children.

The goal of the Drama Time program is to develop

self-confidence, communication skills and of course creativity.

This is achieved through a stimulating and rewarding drama program designed to encourage active participation,

self-expression and build character.

The DRAMA TIME program is especially designed to serve two basic functions:

  • Develop acting and performance skills

  • Develop life skills

The DRAMA TIME program is structured to achieve results in three main areas:

  • Nurture and enhance creativity through imagination, resourcefulness and self-confidence

  • Develop and encourage group awareness, and an ability to adapt and work in a group

  • Gain life skills in the areas of presentation, communication, voice production and public speaking.

Young Engineers
 

Young Engineers runs after school STEM classes for P-6 where they teach Mechanics and Software Engineering Principles with Lego. Children build and program Lego machines and learn many technical concepts like forces, transmission, algorithm, pseudo code etc. They use motors, sensors, and other electronic parts to make their Lego machines move and operate similar to their real world counterparts.

 

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are becoming increasingly important due to technology pervading every aspect of our lives. All careers in the future will require STEM skills, as humans increasingly manage machines to get their daily tasks done. In order to be future-ready, children today need a STEM education – an education that gives them not just information but the ability to apply that knowledge to solve problems.

 

Critical thinking, problem solving, visual spatial and mechanical expertise are developed through practice - and Lego is the best tool to do it!

The Football Star Academy football program curriculum is developed by professional and qualified coaches to support a skill based learning environment with a focus on player development, confidence and empowerment. All coaches are qualified, working with children checked and police checked. Football Star Academy was awarded “Best National Primary School Activity (5-12yo)” at the What’s on 4 Kids Awards in 2018.
