BBPS appreciate children for who they are in the moment

A picture tells a thousand stories. The very child-centred approach that is the essence of BBPS come from stories and images. Striking the Balance for children to be appreciated for who they are in the moment…this quote has always resonated. ‘The longer a child can remain a child the better an adult they’ll be.’

Celebration of achievements

Whether it is a basketball grand final win or close second, finding a snail, becoming an entrepreneur, creating in the art room, dancing your life away or becoming parents to a third little girl!!! Congratulations to Kim and Josh Ancrum on the safe arrival of baby Rue.

Connecting with nature

We have been making the most of the Kitchen Garden where our Greenies Garden Club have harvested the winter veggie patches to get ready for the Spring harvest of tomatoes!  Pop down past the CLC for a bunch of radishes, carrots or silver beet!  Our lemon and lime trees are teaming with fruit as well! Thanks to our grade fives for picking the best ones!

Your life on a plate

Finally, staff making time to share at our staff meeting to celebrate the end of semester one ‘fitting it all in and remaining people first.’

Our staff were to imagine that their life is a plate. When the plate is already full, the only way to add something new is to take something else off. If we keep adding things to a full plate, eventually something falls off. The challenge is that if we don't choose what comes off the plate, life often chooses for us. And sometimes the things that fall off are the very things we don't want to lose—our wellbeing, our relationships, our sleep, or our professional performance.

As we head into the holidays, we wish all families a happy break and either keep warm from the cold or escape the cold to the warmth.
