Students have settled in calmly after the break, and there’s been a noticeable focus as classrooms return to routine.

The Art Show – what can we say!?! It was an absolute success and reflected a significant amount of work behind the scenes. Thank you to Mrs Hellier for her organisation and preparation, and to all our staff and parents who helped with the two day event. It was lovely to have so many grandparents and special visitors attend.

Well done to all students who represented BBPS at Division Athletics first week back, fantastic representation of BBPS.

Lucy W "I felt strong and fast when I was running. I felt proud that I won the races. Dad came to watch and then we had Maccas afterwards."
Congratulations to our Grade 5/6 AFL Girls team – competing this week in the Opal Saints Cup, with a fantastic result of second place.
Hallie: "We got to play lots of different teams, some we had never heard of. I'm proud of trying my best, I even got a scratch which shows I played really well"
Bella: "It was a fun day because we worked as a team and got some pretty high scoring games".
You may have noticed our landscapers busy in the Kitchen Garden. We are thrilled to see a year’s worth of planning by the Kitchen Garden team come to fruition this term. Earthworks are currently in process, with the intention for new beds to be installed, ready for end of term planting by our Grade ¾ Greenies. A big thank you again must go to Marnie L and our 2023 PA, as this project is a result of our community’s support and fundraising. Additionally, thanks to our GM Shane who is overseeing this project and the inevitable unexpected surprises that come with any major works.

Our 2025 funds raised from major events will go towards our next big project, Exon Playground refurbishment. Additional items purchased through our PA funds so far this year include:
*Decodable texts P-2 – both books that go home in reading folders, as well as classroom independent reading texts.
*SchoolTV subscription (see Wellbeing section of newsletter for more)
*What I Need (WIN) Room regulation resources
Your contributions are invaluable to our community and the resources and program we provide for your children.
💰 Sponsorships & Support
We have lots of sponsorship options available — if you or someone you know has a local business that might like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! If your family or a group of parents are keen to sponsor a ride, stall or activity please reach out to Lynne Donnelly at lynne@aerdesign.com.au by Friday 17th Oct. Every contribution helps make this event a success.
What’s on this term?
It’s a busy one! To help you, we are sending home a calendar of sorts to keep track of all the events via Compass. Please note that some details may change as the term goes on, and additional year level based activities are likely to arise, but we hope this helps everyone keep track as the silly season approaches.
Further to last Friday’s Comms:
Monday, 3rd November is a Professional Practice Day for teachers and student free (please note, Monday prior to Cup Day). TheirCare will be open for the day for those needing supervision.
This term we are reintroducing parent–teacher interviews. We invite you to opt in to meeting with your teacher to discuss your child’s progress in week 4 and 5. Compass Conferences will open on Monday, with interview time slots available after school Wednesday 5th November and Thursday 6th November, and Thursday 13th November. We appreciate families making arrangements within the time frame set out so teachers can prepare well and their time is respected.
Good luck to the Dreamers netball team as they head into this Saturday’s game. We look forward to cheering you on!
